Due to the high softening temperature (processing temperature) of quartz glass, the molding process of ordinary glass instruments is difficult to realize the molding of quartz glass instruments and vessels. Most quartz glass instruments and vessels (such as various quartz flasks used in chemical and chemical fields, Processing of conical flasks, reactors, condensers, etc. requires manual blowing techniques. The usual processing is as follows.

(1) Cleaning First, the blank tube is washed and dried according to the cleaning requirements of quartz glass.

(2) Blowing small pieces, holding a blank tube (welding an extension tube if necessary), rotating it with a oxyhydrogen flame, sealing the processing end of the blank tube, and then expanding the diameter according to the shape requirements of the product. The air is blown while being heated and rotated, and the air blowing mode is controlled by the air pump, and the air is blown by hand. For large-scale products, usually carried out on a glass lathe or a secondary molding machine, it is necessary to use a graphite mold or a pallet auxiliary product for shaping while the workpiece is heated and rotated, and the ventilation is expanded.

(3) Sub-treatment of the processed surface Generally, a layer of white smoke adheres to the surface of the flame-processed product, which is generally removed by treatment with a fully-burned oxyhydrogen flame.

(4) Annealing after processing For small products, the stress in the workpiece can be eliminated by treating the hydrogen with a wide flame for a certain period of time. For complex structures or large products, it must be placed in the annealing furnace according to the established annealing. The process system is strictly annealed.
